How to Upgrade Your XTOOL D7 Series Diagnostic Tools

The XTOOL D7 Series (D7, D7S, D7 Pro) are powerful diagnostic tools used by pros and DIYers alike. To keep your device up to date with the latest vehicles and functions, regular updates are crucial.

Step-by-Step Upgrade Instructions

Step 1: Power on the Device

Hold the Power button until the home screen loads.

Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, connect to a stable network.

Step 3: Open the Update App

Tap the Update icon on the home screen to check for available updates.

Step 4: Select Updates

Tap Update All or update modules individually.

Tip: Free up space by removing unused vehicle models.

Step 5: Wait for Completion

Do not turn off or disconnect Wi-Fi. Restart if prompted after the update finishes.

What If Your Update Service Has Expired?

If your device’s free update period has expired, don’t worry—you can still continue using all the current features and diagnostics that are already installed. However, to receive new vehicle coverage and software features, you’ll need to renew your update subscription.

·         Select your device model and click the Buy Now button to complete the order payment.

·         After the order payment is successful, the subscription code will be sent to your login email within one minute. And also you can go to User-Center to check your order details.

·         Follow the steps to use the subscription code on your device

·         Check the activation time of your device to make sure the subscription code has taken effect.
